Papaya smoothies

I recently received a hand-me-down blender and couldn’t wait to try it out. I never owned a blender, so this was a really big deal. I have like a trillion ideas for soups and sauces, but the smoothies I want to make … aahh…

I bought two ripe papayas at the local green grocer last week and on Saturday we had a few friends over who bought five papayas as a thank you gift.  I really didn’t have a choice but to use them first. I was astonished on how quickly the ingredients were mixed together – it hardly took five seconds! Loving the blender! Thanks Carel and Leon!

Ingredients:

1 papaya, cubed

10 tablespoons unflavoured yogurt

100 ml fruit juice (I used mango juice, but think a tropical blend would work nicely as well)

Method:

1. Whiz everything together in a blender.

2. Serve ice cold.
