Papaya and pastrami salad

Last week my hubby and I happily celebrated our second wedding anniversary. We’re not big on traditional anniversary gifts (which in our case would have been cotton) and prefer buying presents that we know the other would love. I gave my hubby a Hohner Marine Band Harmonica and in turn received a dune-coloured Le Creuset salad and pasta bowl (and DKNY Be Delicious perfume – my absolute favourite).

I could hardly wait to toss together a colourful salad in the new bowl and opted for papaya and beef pastrami. It was so gorgeous to look at, it took be about half an hour to dish it into a plate!

Ingredients:

Handful of rocket

Handful of watercress

Handful of baby spinach

1 papaya, cubed into bite-sized pieces

Few thin slices of beef pastrami

Few shavings of pecorino cheese

Method:

1. Toss all the ingredients together in a salad bowl.

2. Serve with black pepper and Lavender and Lime Balsamic and Pomegranate Syrup
