Rocking onion loaf


That’s right, it’s ROCKTOBER!! I would like to alert all local radio stations that any mention of Taylor Swift, Katy Perry or Rihanna during the month of October will cause total anarchy.

For the next 30 days we expect the good stuff: The Rolling Stones, Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, Radiohead, Guns N’ Roses, Smashing Pumpkins and Red Hot Chili Peppers. And also some Muse and Kings of Leon. Who’s your favourite rocker?

Also, like rock music, this onion loaf with red and white onion is awesome!



For a 750 g loaf.


315 ml water

1 tablespoon margerine

1 chopped white onion

1 chopped red onion

1,5 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon sugar

1 tablespoon skim milk powder

600 g nutty wheat high bran bread flour

1,5 teaspoon yeast


1. Pour the water and margarine in the bread pan.

2. Add the salt, milk powder, sugar and flour and chopped onions.

3. Finally, add the yeast. Bake according to your machine’s specifications.
