Pork chops with fruit chutney and apricot jam


One week ‘till Christmas. As in seven days. Say what? I know, right? Are your gifts bought and wrapped? Check. Do you have a set menu for the day? Check. Christmassy outfit? Check. So what’s for dinner tonight? Uhm…

Pork chops with fruit chutney and apricot jam to the rescue! Since you probably have a few last minute Christmas chores to perform, or if you prefer baking cookies rather than preparing dinner, a no mess no fuss meal is the answer. You just pop these chops in the oven and serve it with a green salad, and then you ponder why in the world something this easy can be so delicious. Hurray!



4 pork chops

4 tablespoons fruit chutney

4 tablespoons apricot jam


  1. Place your pork chops on an ovenproof tray and add salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Mix the chutney and jam in a small bowl and brush the chops on both sides with the mixture.
  3. Bake in a 180 degree oven for 15 minutes or until the meat has turned whitish. Put the oven on the grill function, and grill the chops for 3 minutes on each side.
  4. Serve with a green salad and mashed potatoes.
