I’ve been taking full advantage of melon season this year. I made a colourful melon salad (with bacon!), a refreshing honey and melon ice cream, and now I’ve combined it with pineapple to make a tangy fruit smoothie – a healthy snack to get you through the day. It’s a pity they aren’t available year round. I love me some melons! 🙂
150 ml tropical fruit juice
1 tablespoon honey
300 ml plain yogurt
Half a melon (cantaloupe), cubed and frozen
Half a pineapple, cubed and frozen
- Add all the ingredients to a blender and whiz it up for a few minutes – until the consistency is smooth.
- Serve ice cold.
